Irene - an 'escaped teacher' now works for a recruitment agency across the North West of England & North Wales.  We Live between Blackpool and Lancaster in a very pretty rural setting with lots to keep the cats interested & amused.

After having owned moggies for many years, in 1994 I decided that I would like to start showing but my cats were too old to change their ways.  So I attended a number of cat shows to see which breed I would like to show.  I kept coming back to the Maine Coons.  They are the most "natural" looking of all the breeds but with a wonderful temperament & all of the breeders were really helpful explaining all about the breed.

I got my first girl from Norrie Crook and she did warn me they were addictive!!!.  It was love at first sight & Holly came home with me.  She was soon ruling my two moggies, who were thoroughly bemused with this little kitten who was not fazed by anything.

It wasn't long before we decided to start breeding these wonderful cats and in 1995 our first litter of kittens arrived.  Holly was a fantastic mum and always produced lovely large kittens with superb temperaments.  We still have her son "Duke" with us who is now 11 years old, and still loves to "mother" the kittens.  Although he is not a good disciplinarian and will let them run all over him until he retreats to the top of the cupboard.

Since then we have acquired other queens, attended numerous shows and made lots of new friends.
